Research Interests

My research is in kinetic theory and numerical mathematics. I work on ways to effectively and efficiently solve the (linear) transport equation. This includes the development of new spherical quadrature sets and ray effect mitigation techniques, such as rSN and as-SN.
Moreover, I'm interested in non-classical transport. Here, the assumptions that led to the classical linear transport equation do no longer hold and new, non-classical transport equations emerge. Material heterogeneities need to be incorporated into the equations in a way that models the dynamics of the underlying particle systems correctly.
